- What change are you passionate about creating in the world?
- personal empowerment, compassionate communication, environmental and community well-being, education to bring these about.
- What media do you use?
- music, photography. Am interested in learning to create site-specific or moving art installations.
- Best Creavity Experience
- Writing/recording 3 music scores for modern dance, in collaboration with a choreographer. The first score I wrote for her was done to a video of the dance she had choreographed, just weeks before the performance was opening. As I worked on it, I thought 'well this music is just OK.' While the dancers were rehearsing they were thinking, 'well this dance is OK we think.' The moment when they first danced to the music was an amazing magical moment for all of us. Suddenly the dance came alive as it floated on and was driven by the music! And the music took on so much power as it connected and was infused with meaning from the dance! A fabulous experience for all.
- Share some inspirational techniques with us
- a couple of things:
1 - In working on dance scores, both the choreographer and I had to get over the thoughts and fears: 'Gee we hope this will be good! What if it sucks!" We both came to realize that whatever we came up with was our offering. If people liked it great. If they didn't, great. It was simply our offering at this time.
2 - Learning to let go of the original concept and let the piece bloom of its own accord. We would have quite lofty goals and plans at the beginning, and the piece would always just become what it had to become, usually quite different from what we had first conceptualized. Which is quite wonderful.

- Yes for sure. Seems like a lot of Tribe.net folks and burning man artists might be interested in creative catalysts.
