Profile Information

What change are you passionate about creating in the world?
I am creating a new method of original art distribution; an alternative to our current, traditional form of buying and selling...
What media do you use?
For my own artwork I use acrylics on canvas, or charcoal on canvas. For the new art movement, I'm using the web, and am creating a data driven website to track the art movements...
Best Creavity Experience
Whenever I hit the "flow" - it's been more than a handful of times that it's happened - that Spirit takes over, and directs my movement in the art I'm creating; there's nothing like it!!!!!
Share some inspirational techniques with us
I love using Willow charcoal sticks on gessoed canvas - and a chamois to smear it away and draw again........ Certain gesso brands work better than others at allowing the white to remain crisp, though..... some dull it to a yellow - but that can all add to the "depth" of the final product when you hit that sketch that does flow out just right....... But also - you have to check out this one woman's epiphany of a very intuitive painting process she calls, Touch Drawing......... she's got a community here on ning, too..... It's a GREAT process to share with kids in schools, people in therapy, whatever - and the more the merrier! check out her website here: http://www.touchdrawing.com
Are you looking for collaborative partners?
Absolutely. I want to share my vision for how I prefer to "sell" my artwork with others, and work together to create this change in the world. I believe it will help to inspire creativity within many artists, bring original artwork to more people and create stronger ties within our communities. You can read more about it at this blog: http://prodigalart.blogspot.com
Creativity A-Ha moment
When I realized that it's OK, and beautiful to see the underbody of a piece - the mistakes, the development, the layers, the movement, the changes... with the final strokes, transparently revealing the depth of life in all its errors and successes building to that final culmination.
